Chlorophyll Supplement Details:
Bladderwrack is a type of algae or seaweed that contains iodine, and is believed to support the function of a healthy thyroid.*
This seaweed is sometimes known by the more formal name of fucus vesiculosus. Some people also call it sea oak or sea grapes. It can be found in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, as well as the western Baltic Sea and the coasts of the North Sea. Bladderwrack was discovered in 1811, and was the original source of iodine that was used for thyroid conditions. The algae has wide fronds and prominent air bladders, which are easily located on mature plants.
Nettle offers support for liver health.* It is formally called urtica dioica, and sometimes referred to as stinging nettle.
This plant has pointed leaves and white or yellow flowers. Both the above-ground parts of the plant and the root have been used for medicinal purposes. Growing between 2 and 4 meters (approximately 6.5 to 13 feet) tall, the nettle plant's leaves can also be cooked and eaten as a vegetable. Nettle is a perennial plant, and was originally native to Europe. Now it can be found all over the world, and has become very popular in many areas.
Tila is used to help support a healthy mood.* Most people know it by its more common name of sesame.
The sesame plant, or sesamum indicum, is also called benne. It produces flowers, and many relatives of this plant grow wild in India and Africa. In tropical regions all over the world, the plant is widely cultivated for its seeds. The seeds grow in pods that can be harvested. Sesame was domesticated more than 3,000 years ago, and is the oldest of the oilseed crops.
Nopal provides support for a healthy immune system.* This plant is a type of cactus, most commonly called prickly pear.
The pads of the plant are edible, and are used for jellies, jams, and candies. In Mexico, there are more than 110 species of nopal, many of which are used in salads, stews, and soups, along with other traditional dishes. Nopal is cultivated widely throughout the country, especially in semi-arid and arid regions.
